September 2008: Debbie Bruns presented a poster session about TRIS at the 62nd annual meeting of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia (September 17-20, 2008)
August 2008: Debbie Bruns presented a session at the first annual Trisomy 9 Conference in Bourbonnais, Illinois (August 23, 2008).
July 2008: Debbie Bruns, Shirley Truesdale Lockwood, and Marissa Cooley-Code presented a session at the Support Organization for Trisomy 18, 13 and Related Disorders (SOFT) conference in Denver, Colorado (July 25, 2008).
Barb Farlow presented the First Annual Sue MacRae Lecture On Ethics and Patient-Centred Care at the University of Toronto Joint Centre for Bioethics. The presentation is entitled: Making Tough Decisions Together: A Family’s Perspective of the Vital Importance of Ethics and Patient-Centred Care.

April, 2008: Bess Raulerson (Hope for Trisomy 13 and 18) presented a poster session about TRIS at the 5th National Advanced Practice Neonatal Nurses Meeting in Miami, Florida (April 24 - 26, 2008).
February, 2008: Pregnancy and birth history of newborns with trisomy 18 or 13: A pilot study has been published in the American Journal of Medical Genetics Part A.
February, 2008: The TRIS project moves into a new phase. The Follow-up Survey is available for completion for parents who have finished the Full Survey. In addition, parents who signed up to participate in the project after May 31, 2007 will receive information to gain entry to the Full or MODIFIED Survey as appropriate to their child’s status. Finally, the TRIS project is continuing its outreach efforts to recruit families to participate in project activities.
